The cool thing about the 1930's is that it wasn't really that much of difference from the previous decade. There are some little differences here and there that you should probably know about before you start shopping though. The thing is that the rings from that period had a lot about love going on for them. Maybe they thought the more you spend on showering her with majestic gifts, the more she might fall in love with you. You can't really blame them, but then again when you do finally realize that it's not just about the ring you might feel silly.
It was pretty simple as far as style, but the gems were big and the diamonds were even bigger. Because it was the depression any money spent on these rings was valued a great deal more than other time periods because obviously people were hit hard. You might not want to wear vintage engagement rings out in publid around that time simply because people might get jealous and you might just lose it!
